Your Panchangam information, handled locally.

This policy explains how Daily Panchangam handles information used for Panchangam calculations, saved people, locations, and optional notifications.

Effective October 10, 2026 / AMEYON LABS INC.

Who is responsible

AMEYON LABS INC. (“Ameyon Labs,” “we,” or “us”), located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, is responsible for Daily Panchangam. This policy applies to the Daily Panchangam iOS application. The separate Ameyon Labs website privacy policy covers the company website.

Information the app uses on your device

Daily Panchangam performs Panchangam calculations locally. Depending on the features you use, the app stores and processes:

A selected place is a calculation input for geographically dependent Panchangam results and local timings. You can choose a city manually or optionally allow the app to use your current location.

  • Location: when you tap “Use Current Location” and allow access, iOS provides a location estimate. The app uses its coordinates to find a nearby place and time zone for location-based calculations. You can instead select a city manually. Your selected place and up to ten frequently used locations are saved in the app.
  • Saved people: if you add a person, the app stores the name you enter and that person’s birth Nakshatra for optional Tarabalam calculations. The app does not ask for a birth date, birth time, or birthplace.
  • Preferences: the app stores your selected location and notification preference so it can provide the features you choose.
  • Notifications: if enabled, the app prepares optional daily Panchangam notifications on your device.

To provide the features you choose

The app uses the selected date and place for Panchangam and local sky calculations, including sunrise, sunset, moonrise, and moonset. A saved person’s name and birth Nakshatra support that person’s Tarabalam information. The selected time zone and your notification preference are used to prepare local reminders.

Current location and notifications are optional

You can use manual city selection without granting location permission. The app requests current-location access only after you choose “Use Current Location.” You can deny or revoke that permission in iOS Settings. Revoking permission prevents future current-location requests; it does not remove a location already saved in the app. You can change or clear that saved location in the app’s Location settings.

Notifications are optional. You can turn them off in More → Settings → Daily Notifications or in iOS Settings. The app schedules these notifications locally; it does not use a developer-operated push-notification service.

You control saved app information

The app stores location choices and preferences with iOS UserDefaults and saved people with SwiftData. These records support the app on your device and are not sent to Ameyon Labs.

  • Delete a person: open More → Personal → People, swipe left on the saved person, and confirm Delete.
  • Clear location history: open More → Settings → Location and choose Clear Location History. This clears recent places and leaves your currently selected location unchanged.
  • Change or clear your selected location: use Choose a City or Use Current Location in Location settings. Clear Saved Location removes the selected place and its scheduled Panchangam notifications.
  • Disable notifications: turn them off in More → Settings → Daily Notifications. The app removes its scheduled notifications.

Saved people and location information remain in the app until you delete them or replace the relevant setting. If you need help finding a control, contact [email protected]. Ameyon Labs cannot remotely access or delete information stored only in the app.

Saved app information is not sent to Ameyon Labs

The current iOS source and project configuration contain no app backend, account system, direct network requests, analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking integration. The app does not send saved profiles, selected locations, or Panchangam calculations to Ameyon Labs or another service. Its astronomical calculation code and place data are bundled with the app and run locally. If you open the privacy or support link in the app, your browser requests the linked page from ameyonlabs.com; the app does not attach saved profiles, locations, or calculations to that request.

If you email us for support, we receive the information you choose to include in that message and use it to respond. Please avoid including personal profile details or precise coordinates unless needed to explain an issue.

Device settings also matter

When you choose current location, iOS Core Location provides the location function. iOS also manages the local notifications you enable. Apple handles information used by its operating-system services under Apple’s own privacy practices.

Your device backup and restore settings may include app information. Any backup or restored copy is handled according to your device settings and Apple’s privacy practices. Ameyon Labs has not independently verified which app records a particular backup includes, so we do not claim that app information is excluded from backups.

For a general audience

Daily Panchangam is designed for a general audience interested in traditional calendars and Panchangam. People of all ages and backgrounds may use it. The app is not specifically designed or marketed for children.

When this policy changes

We will update this policy if the app’s information practices change. The effective date at the top of this page shows when this version took effect.
